Alessandra Roggia — Official Participant of The Continental Pageants Europe® 2024

My name is Alessandra Roggia, I’m Italian, I live in Milano and I’m 42 years old. 

I recently opened a study vacation agency for teens and adults, as I believe in the value of education and foreign language skills; I have always been concerned about the environment and animal rights, so my agency promotes values related to eco-sustainability. 

I am a member and volunteer with WWF in terms of welcoming visitors at its Oases, beach reclamation and monitoring, research and protection of sea turtle nests; use of wildlife research and census tools, rescue of animals in distress, design and maintenance of new spaces for animals in the centers; forest and fire control activities and support for sustainable tourism activities.

I am attending the final year of the university faculty of tourism science with a focus on sustainable tourism. 

I have published four books focused on social issues (youth, social networks and women’s employment) and a scientific paper for the anthology “Temporality in History” of the Catholic University of Valencia, translated into Spanish, in which I analyze and contextualize today’s female figure, emphasizing its psychological aspects related to the world of work. I won two national literary awards. 

I am very passionate about charity: during the pandemic crisis, I donated the proceeds on the sales of one of my poetry books, to support medical research and I do my best to support associations for sick children and rescue dogs in Italy and Ukraine.

I fight against violence against women, and I have activated on my agency’s website the button to contact the anti-violence number. I also support the psyche of young people by providing psychological support during their study trips. 

I’m very passionate about astronomy and love attending meetings at the Milan planetarium: I confess you that when I was I child I wanted to become an astronomer!  

As an Italian, I really love good food and I am also a great cook! (You are all invited to my kitchen, we bet you will enjoy my specialties? )
